An immersive evening of breath, sound, and deep rest in one of Regina’s most beautiful hidden spaces.

Join Justine Marie and Jessica Reitmeier (@andwhimsi) for a two-hour outdoor breathwork and live sound bath experience in the courtyard at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre.

Description:

There’s something different about experiencing sound outdoors.

Instead of being contained by four walls, it moves. Through the courtyard, through the flowers and greenery, around you, and sometimes from somewhere you weren’t expecting it.

This evening brings together two immersive practices designed to work beautifully alongside each other.

Justine will guide The Origin, a 9D Breathwork journey that blends intentional breath patterns with melodic vocals, ancient chants, and layered healing soundscapes. The journey builds gradually, creating space to explore, release, reconnect, and then settle into integration.

Jessica will weave live sound throughout the evening using singing bowls, chimes, and therapeutic instruments gathered from around the world. She’ll create sound from different points around the courtyard before and after the Breathwork journey, allowing the space itself to become part of the experience.

Surrounded by flowers, greenery, and the warm architecture of the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre, the result is a layered, multidimensional evening of breath and sound that unfolds a little differently depending on where you’re resting in the space.

No previous Breathwork or sound bath experience is necessary. Simply arrive as you are and allow yourself to receive.

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early so you have time to settle into the space before we begin.

Limited spots

What to bring:

Yoga mat
Thick blanket or additional cushioning to lie on
A second blanket for warmth
Water bottle
Pillow and/or bolster, if desired
Eye mask, if desired
Comfortable layers for the outdoor setting

The courtyard has a hard surface, so please bring enough cushioning underneath you to comfortably rest for the duration of the experience.

This experience incorporates natural aromatic elements that may include botanical mists, herbs, incense, smoke cleansing, and essential oils. Scent is part of the experience and may not be suitable for anyone seeking a scent-free environment.
